Then the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund may be the volunteer experience that you are looking for.

Kin Canada Bursaries is a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund (HREF) which was established as a legacy to Founder Hal. Applications are now being accepted for the Board of Trustees that manages the fund, but the deadline is fast approaching.

In addition to reviewing applications and awarding bursaries to post-secondary students from across Canada, this board is responsible for promoting the bursary program and growing the fund. There are 6 trustees with 2 new members selected each year. Term of office is three years, ending June 30, 2013.

Members are being asked to use their professional skills and Kin-related experience in order to keep Founder Hal's passion for education alive. Teamwork and effective communication are critical. Other beneficial qualities include knowledge of investment funds and/or fund development, computer skills, public speaking, and promotion/marketing.
